About Vivienne

Vivienne Kapkarich is a published poet and author from Kenya. She released her debut book, a collection of poems titled *Eminent Desire*, in September 2023. A second edition, featuring illustrations, was published in August 2024. The book contains more than 80 poems characterized by a direct and relatable style. These poems explore many emotions and experiences, including joy, love, longing, sadness, and fear. *Eminent Desire* delves into the complexities of our emotions and the deep desires that encourage us to engage with them on a profound level. In addition to her poetry, Vivienne collaborated with Erick Ochieng on a heartfelt anthology titled *Dear Father*. This anthology features a collection of essays and letters written by various individuals to their fathers. The inspiration for this book came from Vivienne's poignant poem, "The Protector," in which she beautifully captures her personal experiences and cherished memories with her father.
